We are currently looking for a Compliance Monitoring, for a major investment bank based in Paris.
DUTIES
The Compliance Monitoring professional will be responsible for executing reviews and issue closure validation on product, geographic and functional business lines as directed by Global Leads and/or Regional Heads. The Compliance Monitoring professional will focus on providing assurance across all Financial Crime and Conduct areas as required. This role is designed to provide assurance for the main entity, which offers exposure to colleagues and processes across multiple European locations, and the opportunity to be exposed to various regulatory regimes and supervisory bodies.
The position entails conducting compliance monitoring-related activities of financial crime and conduct processes. The role requires: interacting with business, operations, compliance, infrastructure areas and other risk functions; assessing the design and operating effectiveness of systems and controls to mitigate financial crime and conduct risk; and driving remediation actions to validate and close identified gaps.
Key Accountabilities
-Assist Review Leads (as applicable) with the planning and execution of Design Effectiveness and Operating Effectiveness testing by uniformly applying the methodology and quality standards, and ensuring that identified gaps and issues are brought into focus through continuous monitoring and ongoing reviews of key Financial Crime & Conduct regulations and risks.
-Driving remediation of identified gaps and issues through the review of evidence and supporting plans /work statements; conduct issue closure validation through fieldwork and documentation of results; confirm that Stakeholder Issue Closure Packs meet the minimum requirements per the methodology; and assist in the conclusions on the return to a satisfactory maturity rating.
-Actively contribute to the effective operation and conduct by providing constructive suggestions and sharing observations to help continuously improve the team’s output.
-Effectively manage stakeholder relationships across Businesses to foster a collaborative approach to protecting Financial Crime risks.
-Proposing action plans to address root causes and drive remediation actions to close identified gaps.
PROFILE
-Background in Auditing /Monitoring is required
-Experience in Financial Services, preferably in one of the following areas: Financial Crime, Compliance, or Legal
-A good understanding of governance, risk and control assessment techniques
-Strong writing skills; Ability to present information clearly and in a manner that is appropriate and tailored for the targeted audience
-Ability to influence at all levels, and to work on own initiative to drive outputs
